There’s nothing sweeter to me than watching my students become

On a personal note, things are a little crazy right now. We planned to
give up our apartment and were going to Las Vegas to check it out. Then
Christen had a major medical issue and will be having surgery April
15th, so we had to stay, but not sure we’ll still have the apt.
as of this printing!
Anyway, Christen’s surgery is major, so please keep a good

Alliteration
Courage & Consequences by Karl
Rove
Using two words that start with “C” is what’s known
as
alliteration. Wikipedia says alliteration is the repetition of the same
consonant sound at the beginning of two or more words in close
succession.
Alliteration can be used to create powerful titles. They create a
symmetry between the two words and sound pleasing to our ears.
This title also works because it uses the letter “C” and
“C” has a hard edge to it when we say it. This is congruent
with what Rove is trying to say. It’s like having music
and lyrics that go together.
If you have upbeat music, you want upbeat lyrics. In writing
titles, you want words that convey the emotion and essence of what you
are trying to say.
Without any more information, you know what this book is about. Rove is
saying that the Bush White House had courage, and that there were
consequences to that which are described in the book (and he’s
obviously defending it). When you look at the table of contents, which
I did on Amazon, it confirms this.
Practice writing titles that use alliteration and you will increase the
power of your titles.

Q. If you have an ebook called, for
example, The Moving Cure, when you choose a domain name for your
website would it be better to include the word THE in the url, www.TheMovingCure.com,
or could you just use
www.MovingCure.com?
A. Most
people will not put in “the,” but you want to get both
domain names so that someone else doesn’t get
“themovingcure.com” and try to make money off you as well
as siphon off possible subscribers.
Q.
When you give a free teleseminar and you want to upsell listeners to
the audio and transcript of the call, how long do you tell them it will
take to get the audio and transcript?
A. If
you want to edit the teleseminar, I’d say 48 hours, but many
people do not edit them and give them more value by calling them the
“uncut” version. But on the transcript, I would find
a transcriptionist before you advertise and find out how long it will
take them to transcribe the call so you don’t cause stress and
anxiety for yourself by giving a date that is too soon and not a
reasonable amount of time to be able to deliver in.
