Men are born to succeed, not fail.

Henry David Thoreau

I often hear people say in my workshops and one-on-one coaching that they don't want to release their ebooks because they fear their ebooks aren't good enough. Or they aren't perfect yet.  And I just want everyone to know that you're not alone. The truth is that I hate not being perfect too!

When I do a teleseminar and the webcast doesn't work,
or I try to extend the call and it cuts us off, I cringe. But there's nothing I can do about it. Sometimes the technology just doesn't work.

Or when I create a new product and it takes months longer to get out than I had planned. It's embarrassing.

But the bottom line is you do it anyway and you just keep going.

The difference between success and failure is having the courage, allowing yourself  to be vulnerable, to keep making the mistakes so you can get to the other side and help as many people as possible with whatever it is you have to offer.

So have courage, stay in the game, and keep your chin up!

5 Reasons eBook Authors Should Use Teleseminars To Create
 More eBook Profits

1. eBook authors should do teleseminars because it’s a wonderful way to build rapport with your readers. What if someone has read your ebook, or they are thinking about it, or they’ve never even heard of it? In all 3 cases it’s a great way to build rapport.

We all know if you meet someone face to face you are going to have a good connection

The next best connection is voice to voice, so if you can’t meet someone face to face like you would at a book signing, go with the next best connection and that’s teleseminars.

When you do teleseminars, people can hear the passion in your voice when you are talking - people can hear how excited you are about something (unless you are talking in a monotone and don’t have any excitement in your voice.)

2. You can invite your friends to the teleseminar. If they’ve heard you once, they are likely to listen to you again.

3. There are replays so if they miss you, they can go back and listen, which you can’t do at a book signing so you have a much better opportunity to connect with people.

4. Teleseminars also build your credibility because you are now a guest and being interviewed by somebody else, so it puts you on another level. We assume someone being interviewed has a slight rise in status because they are being interviewed.

And when you ask people,  81% say they want to write an ebook or book but less than 1% ever will ,and that’s another reason we look up to authors and it gives them more credibility and status; because they’ve actually done it and they are authors.

5. Plus, if you’re scared of technology, teleseminars are a great way to go: everyone knows how to use a phone.  You don’t have to worry about the technology, it’s comfortable and familiar.

Q & A

Q: What is the best way to set up a website for your ebook....with a letter to the consumer?

A: There isn't really one best way. It depends on your copywriting skill, you budget, and if it is going to be a permanent site or if you think you might want to move it at a later date.

If you have copywriting skills, the easiest thing to do is write the copy and have a banner made. Then have a web person set up an opt-in box to capture names and emails (whether it's in a pop up over the sales page or if you have two pages-an opt-in page and a sales page). If you don't have money for a banner which cost up to $200 try to barter with someone.

If you want to use a program-which I've never done-I hear that the easiest best solution is at:
www.netobjects.com. (If you can cut and paste you should be able to get a website up.)

If you don't have copywriting skills and want to use a sales letter program there are several out there. This one comes from highly respected Internet Marketer, Armand Morin. What I like is that Armand gives you free lifetime updates and he creates products the way he would use them!

Q: What if I don't have a website yet, but want to market my ebook?

A: Ultimately you need a website. But the best way to get started without a website is to market off of a blog.  It takes about 5 minutes to get a blog up and running.. If you want to, you can hire a web person to customize it. I paid $45 to have mine customized. You can sell your ebook off your site but if you are a newbie I suggest giving it away, building credibility and a list for bigger profits down the road.

You can also get it listed in Amazon and other ebook stores and then create free materials that send people to those sites such as blog posts, articles, pod casts, and videos to purchase there.
