The holiday season is upon us and as the year
winds down I like to look at what I had planned to accomplish,
what actually got accomplished and if something didn't get
accomplished why it didn't get accomplished, and what I can do
better next year.
It's also a time where I reevaluate what I'm
doing and what direction I want to go in in the coming year.
And then the next step is to figure out what my goals are for the
coming year and how I can best accomplish them.
One of the problems is we get caught up in the
day to day
stuff and you sometimes don't really realize how far you've come.
This year, I've made 33% more than I made last year and I'm not done
yet!
I also created my new website which is getting
rave reviews (www.theebookcoach.com)!
And, I created a membership club and then merged with Jeff Herring
to create the Articles to eBooks Membership
(www.articlestoebooks.com)
which is bigger, better and more powerful than ever!
I also worked on two BIG projects, my eBook
Profit Marketing Secrets Home-Study Course which you'll be
hearing more about very soon. And I wrote the ebook, Sell More
eBooks, Low & No-Cost Tactics To Explode Your eBook Sales And
Downloads with Jim Edwards, and there were a lot of lessons
there (the most important one being patience!)
I also realized that being dependent on vendors
all the time for my web pages, audios and newsletters wasn't working
for me. I wanted to be able to put up a page if it was the weekend
and nobody was around to help me or at the last second when they
couldn't fit me in. So I've been working on that.
And I'm not going to lie. In the beginning I was
practically in tears! But then one of my vendors told me that his
wife was also in tears when she started and now she's
a web designer! That made me feel a lot better about it. Plus he
didn't judge me! That's very important
So, when you are ready, I highly suggest learning
this stuff-a little at a time-because it WILL give you more control.

I also learned a lot about how NOT to create a
big home-study course! Some of my best products and innovations come
from what didn't work so well! So I created a new process that cuts
the cost and increases your control over the audio-editing process
and you can learn more about that at:
www.theebookcoach.com/recordingservices.html
I also learned a lot about communication and
about myself
and hiring and firing! And believe me these are just as important as
what you are selling!
I learned that if someone isn't coming through who works with me,
I'm still the one who is responsible and it's up to me to fire that
person and move on. That's been a hard one for me. I tend to
be very loyal! But I see it isn't always best for my business to try
and hang in there. And it's slowed down product production at
times. So I see I have some work to do in that department.
But I'm very excited about continuing to create
solutions that work and make your life easier when it comes to
creating and marketing ebooks and information products
and continuing to grow my business in new and exciting ways.
And the Internet is changing all the time-video
is going to be huge this year. There's also social networks,
pod casting and who knows what's next. But that's what I love about
it- new challenges and new mountains to climb all the time!
So I hope you'll take a little time this busy
season to do the same. Don't judge yourself, just observe what
you did, what you want to do and what you can do better and then
make a plan. And if you aren't where you want to be, ask yourself,
what would you need to do to get where you want to be at the end of
2007 and TAKE ACTION!
And definitely take some time to enjoy the
holiday season!
Happy Holidays and Peace On Earth!
