Declaring My Independence!

It’s Independence Day weekend and so it’s appropriate that I’ve been working to gain my Independence from the computer! I’m on it way too much and I don’t think that’s really healthy. I think I’ve been at it so many hours over the past 4 ½ years that it’s given me a touch of ADD!

So I’ve been working on totally changing my business model starting with the relaunch of eBook Empire Builders! Every month I’ll have an advanced training with myself or a guest speaker and our first one since the launch, Paul Richardson was awesome!  For real. (not hype).

Do you know what a hashtag is? I didn’t. But I do now! And not only that, but I know how to use it!

That’s why it’s good to have guest speakers, especially ones like Paul, who is an expert who’s technically savvy, but can explain it to us technophobes in terms we can understand so we can get in on the social networking/web 2.0 revolution, too!  And because of my own success, it’s pretty easy for me to get great guest speakers, so I’m excited to be able to get them for you!

That’s not the only topic we’ll be covering in the months ahead. I want to cover whatever you feel you need to know. And finally, on a personal note: Christen has been eating more raw foods and he’s feeling better. So thanks again for all your prayers!  My niece and nephew are out of school for the summer and I’m hoping we get to spend some quality time together. And finally, I’ve been so busy, I’ve barely left the house and I’ve just GOT to get a haircut! So hopefully that will happen really soon! Passion: Why You Need It
and How To Find it!

Once you’ve made the decision to become an online entrepreneur, you have to decide on a niche. Some people are so motivated by money that they don’t really care what the niche is; they just want to create sites and make money with them. 

But most people are looking for more meaning in their lives than just making money. Don’t get me wrong, they want to make money, but they also want to do something that excites them and that they are passionate about, that they can sink their teeth into.

Maybe they are looking to help humanity in some way or to share their message with the world. But the bottom line for most people is that they have to love what they are doing to want to get up every day and work at it so they can create financial freedom for themselves and their families. And if it’s not fun, if there’s no passion, it can soon become a burden rather than a joy, decreasing the odds of them ever being successful.

The truth is you need motivation to take an idea and turn it into a successful online business, and passion can be a huge motivator.  Without it, it’s hard for most people to keep going. In fact, some people can’t even finish an ebook, let alone sustain enough interest to create a site and actually make money with it. So it’s important to have passion - especially when you are starting out. 

So how do you find your passion? Look for it in your everyday life.  You can start by asking yourself the following questions:

•       What makes me want to jump out of bed and face the day? 

•       Do I have a hobby I really enjoy that I could possibly turn into a money-making venture?

•       When am I the happiest doing?

•       What magazines do I subscribe to?

•       What do I like to talk about with friends?

Once you figure out what you are passionate about, then you need to figure out what you are good at and how to turn that into a business that will give you a 6 or 7 figure income!

A. Yes, you can sell them on ClickBank, Paydot.com, Payloadz, and any other sites that make sense!

Q. What is the average length of an ebook?

A. How does an ebook differ from a book? 80 to 120 pages. Aside from the obvious, one is physical and one is sold digitally, an ebook is more conversational with no bibliography or index. It usually solves someone's problem. Books are expected to have impeccable grammar; ebooks don't have to. As I said, they just have to solve a problem for people who are willing to pay for the information.
