- I think we finally got it down!
- I’m grateful for the
wonderful students and subscribers I have. You’re the best!
- I’m grateful to my
wonderful JV partners and affiliates who support the work I do and
spread the word!
- I’m grateful to all my
mastermind partners for helping me grow in my business and being there
in the trying times.
- I’m grateful to my past
and current mentors who have taught me what I needed to learn to be a
successful online entrepreneur.
- I’m grateful to my
colleagues who I teach and learn from and support and who support me.
- I’m grateful to
Infusionsoft for taking me to the next level and freeing up my time!

Writing: 5 Ways to Find More Time To Write Your eBook!
- If you’re like most
people who want to write an ebook, you’ve probably said to
yourself, “There just isn’t enough time in the day to do
this and everything else I have to do!” This kind of self talk is
NOT helpful.
Instead you have to decide that it is something you are going to do and
then figure out how you CAN get it done. Then put it on your schedule
and stick to it!
If you need help setting goals, I highly suggest reading The Power of
Focus by Mark Victor Hansen, Jack Canfield, and Les Hewitt. It’s
the most useful goal-setting book I have seen out there.
- Most people waste a lot of
time, so for just one week I want you to keep a time sheet and write
down how you spend your time in 15 minute increments. This is a very
powerful exercise and your results might surprise you!
Once you see how you are actually spending your time, you can figure
out where you are wasting time and start allocating that time for
writing your ebook instead.
- If you are online,
you’ve got to handle your emails efficiently; email is a huge
time burner. What I do is segment them. The ones that I get from other
experts go straight to gmail and I don’t look at them until
I’m done with everything else, and then only once or twice a day.
Also you want to train yourself to do the hardest and most scary tasks
first and NOT read email during this time. You also want to refrain from
reading them every 5 minutes or 20 minutes, or however often you read
them. (When you keep your time chart, you’ll see how much time
you waste with email - which is a biggie!)
Instead, put a note in your signature file saying that you will answer
emails in 24 to 48 hours and then decide on a couple times a day to
read and answer your email.
- To cut down on time spent on
customer service, use a help desk like Kayako or Perldesk. If
possible, have someone else handle your customer service, preferably a
third-party company so that you don’t have to take over if one
person is sick or on vacation.
To automate the process, look at the questions you get asked on a
regular basis. Write out your answers to each one and give it to the
company so they don’t have to spend time looking for answers to
simple questions from customers and subscribers. This will insure that
your clients get the answers they need without you having to spend the
time on customer service!
Also be sure to create an FAQ page (Frequently Asked Questions) and
answer as many as you can to cut down on your workload.
- Delegate, delegate, delegate.
Figure out what you don’t want to do in your business and what
you are not good at and find people who are. You will make a lot more
money if you concentrate on what you do well and let others do what
they do well.
Get in the habit of outsourcing. Don’t get trapped into thinking
you’re the only one who can do a particular job that
doesn’t make you money, or you’re not good at, or
both! You’ll end up stressed out and frazzled or worse,
sick. So start seeing it as a necessity and not a luxury!
Follow these easy steps and you’ll have plenty of time to write
your ebook. And if you want to get it done in just 72 hours or less
with 12 hours of writing time then check out my Quick-Start 3-Day eBook
Authoring Workshop www.3dayebookworkshop.com

Reader's Q&A
|
|
Q.
What's the best
way for aggregating the data for the ebook?
A. It depends. One good way is to write down
information and put it in a box until you have enough on the subject
for an
ebook. In my case I often extract it from other products that I've
already
created. In my ebook with Jim Edwards, I
wrote down as many tactics as I could think of, Jim picked the ones he
wanted, and then I fleshed them out.
Q.
What are the outsourcing
options and costs?
A.
You can hire a
ghostwriter, in which case I suggest you stick with someone who writes
English
well!
I have
ghostwriters and I can get you a quote if you send an
email to:
info@theebookcoach.com
with as much information as possible,
including the number of pages, the subject, title, and how much work
you need
done. Is it a complete ebook? Are you providing the content, etc.
You can also
go to colleges near you and find someone - preferably the spouse of a
student,
because they will have more time that the student does - to actually
get it
done!
